About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled DevOps Engineer to join IT operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing infrastructure services and systems. This role requires strong scripting knowledge, hands-on experience with DevOps tools and platforms, and the ability to work effectively in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure support, including provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of servers and services.
• Respond to and handle service requests and incidents following established procedures.
• Log, track, and document incidents and service requests in accordance with operational policies.
• Identify and escalate issues when necessary, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
• Monitor system performance, security events, and infrastructure load; generate reports and suggest improvements.
• Perform system maintenance tasks, including backup and restore operations, using approved tools and scripts.
• Automate recurring system administration tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Support containerization and orchestration environments, including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS clusters).
• Implement and maintain automation/configuration management tools such as Terraform.
• Manage and configure CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Administer web services including NGINX, Apache, and JBoss.
• Provide technical expertise and ensure the correct application of operational procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work in shifts or on-call as needed, with minimal notice.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar DevOps or system administration role.

Technical Skills:

• Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience in Linux server administration.
• Proficiency with container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
• Practical experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience in configuring monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle preferred).
• Experience working with web servers and application services (NGINX, Apache, JBoss).
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.
